Report Summary

This report aims to bring a common methodology to monitor and evaluate the Maritime Spatial Plans (MSP) developed in Macaronesia through a set of indicators. The general report firstly includes an introduction about the importance of monitoring and evaluation in MSP and the proposed methodology applicable to the three Macaronesian archipelagos. Three regional reports corresponding to the implementation of the methodology in the Azores, Canary Islands and Madeira follow, with the respective adaptations to the regional contexts and needs. Finally, the regional reports provide some recommendations to improve future monitoring and evaluation of MSP plans.
